Whose Side Are You On?

Rev Buell WN Abraham

Ester 7:1-6,9-10

Psalm 124

James 5:13-20

27/9/9

*Our church needs to pour upon love
*If we are in trouble, we must pray and hear his voice
*Read the Word of God, God will speak
*Scriptures-God is speaking
*Sermon-support the scriptures

Are you afraid like Saul or are you like David - A way after God's heart

*togetherness not selfishness
*God's side or Yours?
*Learn the word of God, nurture the word before we go to others
*Repent of bitterness, anger -meditate on the Word of God
*Apply the word of God
*Bible reading is very important
*We must love one another, just like Ester
*Are we willing to die for Christ?
*We must work the work of God
*We must be guided by faith to trust God
*We should control to reflect our lives whether we're on God's side
*God can use anybody regardless of your background
*To be on your side: commitment
*To be on God's side : open your eyes and ears to hear God's calling
*Friendship must go beyond needs

Mark 9:38-50
1)Do not forbid him. (v38-41)
2)Jesus warned of offences (v42-48)
3)Be tasty for the Lord and have peace (v49-50)

we must give glory to God

*come together as family, look unto the Lord
*don't repeat mistakes, reconcile life back to Him

In Psalm 33
1)All nature revolves around the Lord (v6-9)
2)All nations revolve around the Lord(v10-12)
3)All lives revolve around the Lord (v13-19)

*We need to be God centred, not self-centred

Do you accept God's work today?

Have peace with one another

Throw PRIDE and Gain HARVESTNESS
1 Cor 2:4 and my teaching and message were not delivered with skilful words of human wisdom, but with convincing proof of the power of God's Spirit.

Do we thank God enough for what we do?

Call of discipleship: commitment
*care for others means confronting ourself

Self centred -> God centred -> help others

*God is with us
*Never forget us
*What adventure can we hope for, knowing that when we are in God's side, we gain VICTORY

**Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path**
