Ester 4:1-17

Introduction
*The Book of Ester tells God is still there tho there is NO MENTION of the word GOD
* Absent-Present God
* God can use ordinary people to make a difference
* You & I can make a difference

Power Of Ordinary
*One ordinary person can make a difference a) For good
b) For evil
You have the choice.
*Ester -Orphan and a refugee (scars, bad experience in her life)
*uses her
*don't underestimate the power of the ordinary just because we have an extraordinary God
*We are here by the grace of God
* God wants to use you but we must get involve

Ester 4:1 "When Mordecai learnt of all that had been done, he tore his clothes in anguish. Then he dressed in sackcloth, covered his head with ashes, and walked through the city, wailing loudly and bitterly."
* Ester didint get involve because were too fearful, too busy, too comfortable, too indiferent.
*Are you like Ester?
*We are indifferent about our indifference (I don't know, I don't care)

Ester 4: 12-13 "When Mordecai received Esther's message, he sent her this warning, "Don't imagine that you are safer than any other Jew just because you are in the royal palace."
Mordecai's Response
*Doing nothing will not do!
*God will use somebody else
*God wants to use you
Involvement is not an option

Ester 4:14 "If you keep quiet at a time like this, help will come from heaven to the Jews, and they will be saved, but you will die and you father's family will come to an end. Yet who knows- maybe it was for a time like this that you were made queen!"
*God has a plan, You are not by any chance
*have to discover what plan does God have for you
*loyal position for such a time as this

God wants to use u-thats the main story of ester

*We must sacrifice all for the King
Ester 4:15 "Ester sent Mordecai this reply "Go and gather all the Jews in Susa together ; hold a fast and pray for me. Don't eat or drink anything for three days and nights. My servant girls and i will be doing the same."

* We need God-small, weak, can God use me? YES!
* Very often we leave God out of the equation of life

Ester 5-8
*Ester not only began to pray but use the power, carefully well executed plan
*praying and planning together

*Give all you have to God!
*Important to develop ourselves -to be as good for GOD
* Nothing is more important than giving God your BEST

Ester 4 :16b " After that, I will go to the king, even thought it is against the law. If i must die for doing it, I will die."
* No guarenteed success, just be faithful & be the best you can be.
* If we don't serve, we only look inwardly & we die.





**Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path**
