Slipperiness of sin

1. Temptation = desire (longing) + enticement (right timing)
*James 1:14-15: but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

2. Sin = desire + enticement/ opportunity + action
*Sin can become full grown when treat sin as natural and normal

3. Death = desire + opportunity + action + unrepentence

4 ways to stop at different parts
1. Pray
2. Don't desire or do that action
3. Flee from temptation
4. Repent

*Galatians 5:24 : Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.
*Romans 12:1-2 :
A Living Sacrifice
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

*We should rely on God to change our desires
*Renewing of your mind- changing your perspective.
*To know that it is not the end of the world
* The mind is a very important part because it influences our actions
*By doing the following actions, we will honour God rather than looking at our own bad days
*Limiting our opportunities to sin. We can ask God to flee from the opportunities

**Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path**
