Grow Continually
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with he knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:9-10 NIV
God's Word encourages us to strive for perfection by growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and characted, having integrity, as our heavenly Father is perfect
Matthew 5:48 You must be perfect- just as your Father in heaven is perfect!
Paul said that even though he had not attained the ideal of perfection, he pressed on to grasp and make his own for which Christ had laid hold of him
Philippians 3:12 I do not claim that I have already succeeded or have already become perfect. I keep striving to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has already won me to himself.
We, too, should press toward maturity and integrity
today.
