"F" u?

Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies....... Thoughts on This Verse... God reminds us that our words and the way we use our speech greatly impact the quality of life we enjoy. Nothing cuts short a vibrant life like evil speech and lies we tell. They set loose a force of deception and damage that we cannot control. This unleashed power not only damages those about whom and to whom we speak, but they eventually boomerang and come back and bring their deadly payload back into our own lives. Let's be people who speak what is right, good, wholesome, holy, true, and a blessing.

I Walk By Faith!

''No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,'' declares the LORD....... Thoughts on This Verse... Because of the LORD God's grace and power, we will be victors. This is the final message of Revelation. It is the song that is sung throughout the Scriptures. This is the assurance that we have from God himself. Our lives will not be lived in vain. Those who berate, belittle, and batter God's people will be exposed and his beloved children, his saints of light, will receive vindication and salvation from the Father they love.

When 2 Become 1

[T]hose who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God....... Thoughts on This Verse... Over the last two weeks we have been blessed to read a number of Scriptures that speak of the Spirit's work in our lives. In the last several days, we've celebrated being God's children. Now the two concepts come together in one glorious declaration: we are God's''sons,'' his children with full inheritance rights. We have not only been given grace, but we live as his children and enjoy the blessings of his eternal family.

-Romans 8:14-

**Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path**

Ignorance

*Ignorance = handicapping yourself
*Ignorance= having no knowledge or ability
*Ephesians 5:13-14: But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said:
   “Wake up, sleeper,
   rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

*What is everything expose by the light that is visible?
-Our flaws
-scars
-skeletons in our closet
-secrets
-things that we are ashamed of
*Sometimes we hide things away
*The dead= spiritually dead
*Psalm 119:105: Your word is a lamp for my feet,
   a light on my path.

*Do we consider the world as a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path?
-Yes we should because we are weak in human flesh and our knowledge is limited
*Human philosophy is base on our own understanding but God's philosophy is infinite
*"We will know the truth and the truth will set us free!"
*What ways would God reveal to us?
-People
-conviction
-consequences
-prayer

Holy Spirit
*Genesis 4 (about the story of Cain and Abel)
*We need to listen to the Holy Spirit. We need to adjust and adapt to it
*Collosians 3:16: Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

*God place different people in out lives. Thus, we need to learn from each other. We need to be ready and humble to learn from others
*Do we need truth to rebuild in our lives?
-When there's truth, theres no ignorance. Hence, YES!
*Psalm 139:23: Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.

*Why did the psalmist ask?
-We are unconscious of our actions
-We are open to correction
*God has an intention to help us even though we fear to address him with our issues
*Then we can learn and help others encountering the same problem
*What kind of attitude should we have?
-Humility
*Is there a way that God can test us?
-Where we respond to situations
*He will use us
*He test us not to make us ridicule but to make us stronger, teachable and persevere
*James 1:2-4: Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

*We shouldn't harden our hearts with God
*He wants to let us move forward
*Let God shine His light in our lives

The End of the World?

Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power....... Thoughts on This Verse... Closing time! That's when everything is counted, the doors are locked, and the final tally is made. Jesus is Lord of closing time. Even though he won the victory over death and sin while he was here, we're still waiting to get swept up into his victory march. But, that day is coming. Every knee will bow! Every evil power will face destruction. The hearts that are yielded to God, however, will be placed into his loving and mighty hands forever. Our Lord reigns!

Deep Down in my Heart

''Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! ... For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.''...... Thoughts on This Verse... Some things in Scripture don't need commentary, explanations, or elaboration; they just need to be spoken and believed. I encourage you to memorize this short passage of praise and keep it close to your heart, and let it come from your lips during all your times of difficulty as well as times of bounty and blessing.

From the Inside Out

A thousand times I've failed
Still your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in your grace

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame

My heart and my soul, I give You control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise, become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Your will above all else, my purpose remains
The art of losing myself in bringing you praise

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame

My heart, my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out, O my soul cries out

My Soul cries out to You
My Soul cries out to You
to You, to You

My heart, my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out, O my soul cries out

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out, O my soul cries out
From the inside out, O my soul cries out
From the inside out, O my soul cries out.
Special thanks for Tinashe for jamming with me and making this song run in my head again and again, love it lots!:)

**Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path**

This is the Day that the Lord has made!

I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High....... Thoughts on This Verse... When was the last time you made up a song? The last time you made up a song of praise to God? Worried that you can't do it? Don't think it will be good? Don't worry! your only audience is your Abba Father who longs to hear your heart sing regardless of your voice's perfection or your melody's tune. He wants to rejoice and be glad with you. So open your heart and raise your voice to praise your God.

He is the way!

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD....... Thoughts on This Verse... No matter how fresh the start nor how great the plans we have made, if we do not walk with God, the coming days and months will not be a spiritual success. As we move forward, let's commit to serve the Lord. As we make plans for the future, let's make sure that those plans are made based on the LORD's revealed will in Scripture and prayerful consideration of what our God wants us to accomplish.

Saviour, Redeemer!

The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him....... Thoughts on This Verse... God not only buys us out of our bondage and debt to sin, but he also assures us that he will provide refuge for those who trust in him. Our future is tied to him and not to our ability to provide and protect what we need.

Jesus Loves Porn Stars

Sun 20th March

Mark Broadbent

Luke 5:11-20: So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.
Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy
While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
Then Jesus ordered him, “Don’t tell anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man
One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick. Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”

*Rebellious younger brother that did not WANT God vs self-righteous older brother that did not NEED God
----> Brokenness ---> God
*Focus on the younger brother in his rebellion stage
*Reading the bible and combine it with our experience will make the bible more applicable

Our Pursuit of Freedom can enslave us
*People who commit sin by sleeping around or two timing will realize a point at their life full of emptiness
*Then 90% would come back. That is the same thing with the younger brother
*Our pursuit of freedom can leave us empty
*Many people think that when you become a Christian, your locked up and are restricted or losing your freedom
*However, it does not seem what they thought it would be
Materialism
*How much more money do we need to be happy? People from all Socioeconomic status says 10%
*But some says we just have to have enough so that we would not have to worry less. However, results have shown that the more possessions we have, the more we worry about money; example: maintenance
Porn
*Researches asked if pedophiles were abused as kids. Most of them said no.
*When tested with a shock detector to determine your life sentence - the result of saying no dropped from 90% to 10%.
*Most people start seeing porn and go through the gateways until they become pedophiles
*Those things do not give freedom
Gossip
*Some cannot help talking about others. Some are really addicted to it
Unforgiveness
*Some do not want to forgive but to just be free
*But the bitterness eats them inside
*God is trying to free us from those slavery
Galatians 5:13:

Life by the Spirit
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

*The question is, how do we get out?

Beating yourself up does not work
*We all struggle with different problems
*Peter, the key disciples and Judas Iscariot let down Jesus on his most crucial time
*Peter gets forgiven, Judas leaves God altogether
*Which was the worse sin? None really matters. Its not the depth of their sin

Matthew 27:3-5: When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders.“I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.” “What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”
So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

*Is Judas broken and remourseful? Yes
*The real difference is that Peter's brokenness brought him back to Jesus but for Judas, it lead to despair
*If you beat yourself and remind yourself that your not worthy of anything, you will not receive forgiveness but just go into emptiness

Hosea 3:1:
Hosea’s Reconciliation With His Wife
The LORD said to me, “Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another man and is an adulteress. Love her as the LORD loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes.”

*God is using the picture of Hosea and his adulterous wife in illustration to His relationship with us. We are the adulterous wife.
*Its painful experience looking at us chasing after other Gods, yet He loves us and will not let us go, He offers forgiveness and love. Everything God wants is to be reunited with His creation.
*Jesus loves the porn stars, thus, we are better than them. But God said that we are the porn stars.

Will-power won't work
*Rather than resist and fight temptation, we remove it
*We should pray "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
*Even if it is out of reach, we will eventually find out way and hunt it down
*When we try and escape the slavery of sin, we need to embrace what God offers; Joy, peace, purpose and love

*Genesis 3:1-5:
The Fall
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.“For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

*Satan is making us feel that God is restricting us but God is only saying not to eat one tree out of the thousands in the garden of eden
*God is actually the greatest treasure
*He walked with Adam and Eve. We must find him more fulfilling, exciting and to long for Him. That way, it is easier to keep us away from the temptations of sin.
*Some of us feel that we are not consistent to be good enough for him.
*But God said no matter how much you feel your unforgiven, he will keep chasing after you.

Whom Shall I Fear?

The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?...... Thoughts on This Verse... I love the coast of Maine. The craggy shorelines, the crashing surf, and the lighthouses perched at strategic and well-fortified points along the coastline. I cannot help but think of our heavenly Father when I watch the gloom gather as an impending storm noisily makes its way on shore. There in the storm -- with lightning ripping through the sky, winds howling, and the surf crashing -- stands the light that guides the way, strong against the elements and a beacon of direction and hope. Yes, the LORD, Yahweh the God of Israel, the Almighty Creator of all things, is my light and my salvation. My life, the eternal part of me, is entrusted to him. I choose not to fear. I place my trust in him.

Assured!

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever....... Thoughts on This Verse... God is our Shepherd. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

*The connection must be flowing and holy
*We cannot live without God to live life to the fullest

Set Apart, Be Anointed!

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,''Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.''...... Thoughts on This Verse... When people genuinely worship, when they fast and seek God's will, he calls them to service and mission. Christian worship is not an end in itself, but a launching pad to Christian mission. We shouldn't get so caught up in the worship experience that we leave it at the door when we walk away. Instead, we must understand that our''private'' or church worship is to inspire us to public worship and service in the world during our everyday lives (cf. Rom. 12:1-2). As we worship with our brothers and sisters, we should also listen to the words to the songs, the message of the Scriptures, and the conviction of the Holy Spirit on our hearts. God is calling each of us to a special mission in our world!

Your Light!

''You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.''...... Thoughts on This Verse... Darkness dominates our world. Despite appearances, darkness controls much of what is said and how it is viewed by the world. When people live for Christ, they will be noticed. Their allegiance to Jesus and his righteousness cannot be ignored. So what are we going to do with that light? Are others going to see and be drawn to our Father in Heaven who sent his Son as Savior? Or, are they going to reject the way of Christ because our walk is all talk and not much service? Let's let them see God's grace through our lives so they will come to know the Savior!

Be joyful always, pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus....... Thoughts on This Verse... COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANITY! Good People Don't Go to Heaven, Bad People Don't Go to Hell

*How can we be sure we are accepted by Christ?
*The normal perspective would be "Good people go to heaven."
*The problem is, we will never know if were good enough
*We live in fear of God. We have no idea whether He would accept us. The saying goes, "I don't know if I'm good enough"
*If we know our good works are suppose to be achieved, its a task, theres no choice and we sometimes don't find the joy in doing it
*Christianity is nothing like that at all!
*Luke 15: 1-2: Now the tax collectors and "sinners" were all gathering around to hear him. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."

*Luke 15:11-32: Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them. "Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. he longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' So he got up and went to his father.
"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. 'So they began to celebrate.
"Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'
"The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'
"'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'"

*The religious leaders ask "Why are you (Jesus) hanging out with sinners?
*In the story of the prodigal son Jesus told, the youngest son wished his dad was dead so that he will get his father's inheritance
*In a middle eastern patriarchal society, it was surprising that the father did not act aggressively but agreed
*Fathers would not run but the son's father ran after seeing his youngest son from afar. The youngest son wanted to pronounce his speech but instead, his father hugged and kissed him
*That is what it is like to be part of the Christian faith
*We are never worthy to be called sons/daughters if we work hard, we become sons and daughters by faith
*Grace is not just giving something undeserving, it is giving more than something undeserving
*Mercy says "I will forgive you" but Grace says "I will adopt you as sons and daughters"
*Jesus' heart is for sinners and unbelievers
*The older brother in the story can be represented as the Pharisee, acting self- righteous
*The younger brother knew his sin and knew that the only person to go back was his father even though he hurt his father the most
*He knew what was the meaning of brokenness

Tim Keller
"If you want God's grace, all you need is need. All you need is nothing"

*The rebellious do not WANT God but the self- righteous do not NEED God
*The only way we could bring self-righteous and rebellion together is to let both experience brokenness
*The Father takes those who are broken and hugs and kisses them

1. Your sin is much greater than you think
*Sin is failing to hit the bullseye
*We fail to meet God's will
*Our sin is much deeper, deceptive and dangerous than we think

Flanery O Conner
"The way to avoid Jesus was to avoid sin"
*If they just lie a life full of good deeds, they don't need a Saviour

2. Jesus spent most of His time rebuking the self-righteous
*The self-righteous do not realize that their broken again and again
*We don't weep and cry over sin because we think we are acceptable of doing good
*Common saying :
"Some people have Jesus as their Saviour but not as their Lord"

*They just want something from God but not develop a relationship with Him
*Jesus doesn't bother much about that but the real problem is :
What the parable says
"The real danger is that many have Jesus as their Lord but not as their Saviour"

*Do you know what it's like to weep over sin and have the Lord throw His arms around you?

3. People tend to convert from being rebellious to become self-righteous
*This is dangerous and that is what Jesus is afraid of.
*Everything we do comes down to this:
"We can be forgiven. He is pleading and crying out for you to come into His arms"

*When Jesus declares "It is finished", all our good works do not count because He has forgiven and died on the cross for us already.

Violence Not!

The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth....... Thoughts on This Verse... God hates violence and demands that we not admire those who are violent or share in their violent lifestyle. (Prov. 3:31) God abhors those who do evil. God not only opposes them when they are alive, he also mitigates their influence after they are gone. He helps them be seen for what they really are. Far from being viewed as heroes, their legacy of hate and wickedness is spurned, shunned, scandalized, and forgotten.

Grace + Knowledge

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen....... Thoughts on This Verse... Where do you need to grow in your walk with the Lord? How about keeping the tandem targets of grace and knowledge together as your goal. So often we pursue one or the other. But something seems to come unhinged in our soul when either of those becomes more important than the other. Let's keep grace and knowledge together because we see them together in our Savior.

Do not fear!

Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared....... Thoughts on This Verse... What guards your heart from fear? Only one protector is sure and faithful; his name is the Yahweh -- he alone is the LORD. He is our confidence and protector. As Paul said so powerfully long ago, prayer and the Holy Spirit are our assurance of God's deliverance. Either we will be delivered from death to serve God powerfully or we will be delivered through death to share with him in eternity. We will not be snared when our fate and future remain in God's hands!

Shout!

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth....... Thoughts on This Verse... With joy, let's praise and make a joyful noise to the LORD of lords and the King of kings today. Let's find short moments during our day, seize them, and use them to give thanks and praise to our Father in heaven. When we are blessed, let's take a moment and pause for praise. In every good thing, let's share a phrase of praise to our gracious Father.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them [those who deny that Jesus is from God and who have the spirit of the world], because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world....... Thoughts on This Verse... The world can often be a hostile place for believers. God wants his spiritual children to know, however, that they are not alone. He lives in us through his Spirit. We can be assured, therefore, that no matter what spirit someone else may have, the Holy Spirit of God is greater, more powerful, and more glorious. The victory is ours because God's presence in us is greater than any force that we will ever face. We have our victory assured over all forces, powers, spirits, or opponents.

Forget me not..

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it....... Thoughts on This Verse... How warmly do you personally welcome visitors at your church or in your Bible study group? When was the last time you invited someone new in your congregation over for dinner or included them in a gathering of your Christian friends? While some have the gift of hospitality, all of us need to be warm and open to folks we don't know who join us for Christian worship and fellowship. Why not make a commitment to meet and welcome one new person at church each week. In a cold impersonal world, we can make a huge difference in the lives of those seeking the shelter and grace of Jesus and his people.

we shant!

So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled....... Thoughts on This Verse... So many sleepwalk through life. They never are awake enough to really live. But we are not going to do that with our lives! We are alive because we know Jesus has come and not only brought us life, but he has also showed us how to live. So we are going to be alert. We are going to be self-controlled. We are going to be fully alive, because we know Jesus' return is imminent and our day of salvation and deliverance is near.

Great is Thy Faithfullness

''And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.''...... Thoughts on This Verse... ''They will know that I am the LORD'' is a familiar refrain in Ezekiel's prophecies. Here it is also a horrifying one to his people who have been rebellious, sinful, and wicked. God is holy. The people who claim him as their God had better reflect that glory and greatness. They had better magnify God's holiness. If they do not, God will do so even at their expense. God will be known as God. In a day when so many profane the name of God and use it so glibly in their reactions and frustration, this is a sobering reminder that even the name of God is holy. He will show his greatness and holiness.

Spiritual Intimacy

Sun 6th March

Dan Harding

*Developing spiritual intimacy
*Can outlive suffering, emotional and physical intimacy
*Colossians 3:18-21: Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.

*Where is the intimacy in this passage?
*You can disagree but try and understand why Paul talked about

1. Finding a Christian Partner
*Colossians 3:1-4: Since, then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

*Colossians 3:10-11: and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

*If your a Christian, something internal is living in you
*Spiritual intimacy can only happen through Jesus with another Christian because we Christians are given a new self
*We can't have spiritual intimacy with someone who does not have the Holy Spirit in them
*The Question is do you have God in your life to experience together then
*It's a joyous and a beneficial thing to share Christ in them
*God brought us together as Christians so we should not give up so easily

2. Sharing your commitment to become like Christ
*Colossians 3:12-15: Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

*It's growing out character to become like Christ
*His plan is to become like Christ
*Richard Foster said we should do these things to become like Christ
Prayer
Journaling
Meditation
Worship
Celebration
Studying
Devotions
Fasting

*Colossians 3:16-17: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

*We can do things together if we have a Christian partner
*We have spiritual intimacy

3. Thinking responsibility, not rights
*When we think of submitting, we will think how dare they demand us to submit
*Its not common for husbands to say I love my wife
*They can be passionate about passion, job, hobbies, kids but we choose to ignore to love their wives and speaking politely
*Intimacy is always fostered and never demanded
*We should have passion to faithfully love our spouse, and the one who saves us
*That doesn't mean you have given up your right
*Jesus loved more than anybody else and willingly submitted to us so that we could experience his love. We never deserved it but He did.

Glorious!:)

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus....... Thoughts on This Verse... Throughout Scripture, God reminds us that if our trust is in him and if we share his blessings with others, he will make sure we have all that we need. How can we be sure? Look at the confidence Jesus had in God!

Its worth it!

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning....... Thoughts on This Verse... God is the God of all comfort (see 2 Cor. 1). Even when he deals harshly with our sin and rebellion, it is for our good. It will last only a short while and then it gives way to rejoicing. If you are in a time of discipline or facing the cruel consequences of sin, please don't give up. Morning will come, and on that dawn will come God's grace. It's more than worth the wait!

Evil

Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned....... Thoughts on This Verse... God has promised a closing time, a reckoning where human power and influence cannot buy out the truth and where each person will have to face up to what he or she has done. Evil will overtake those who have been partners with evil. Those that hate good people, righteous people, will be condemned in their own hate. God's righteousness, truth, and justice will not be short-circuited!

[Jesus said]''Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.''...... Thoughts on This Verse... Eternal life begins, now! That is one of Jesus' messages in the Gospel of John. For sure, we don't get to enjoy all of the blessings that await us when we go home to the Father. But, Jesus wants us to know, to experience, his love and the Father's presence in our lives, now! He even prayed it for us! So let's seek the Father; not to just know about him, but to know him! He longs to draw near to us and will do so as we draw near to him! He is at work in us, so the real issue isn't his nearness, but our awareness of his presence and work. Let's open our eyes and our hearts to our Father, and ask him to reveal his presence to us!
