"Dreaming Dreams and Seeing Visions : A Spirit-Led, Relational, Healthy Church"

Rev Ricky Ho

Acts 2:17, 42-47
1 Peter 1: 13-15

*I have a dream
*Dreams do bring us tension, and stress
*Dreams are a nice, sweet feeling when you dream about your prayer just as you wake up to say "Amen"
*Focus on how rather than why : A Spirit-Led, Relational, Healthy Church"
*Why would we want to come to church when we can get better speakers spreading the msg online or performances?
its because:
*We come to church to self check ourselves
*So, to be spirit-led, our trip priority is to want to be holy
*.. We are willing to pursue it and not just sit back and hear about it
*1 Peter 1:14-15, "..Be holy, because I am holy"
* To be in a perfect church is dangerous, because we become unholy as nobody is perfect
*Need to love, encourage, unfold one another
*Reaching people for Jesus
*A Holy church offers hungry people information they need to fill their souls (eg. LTI- Lay training institute)
*Our church does many things
*Merriam Webster's dictionary defines "pursue" as
-to chase after
-to find, to obtain

2. Our dream church is a 'relational' church
*Someone once said, "those believers (described in the book of acts) loved each other and were dedicated to each other."
*This is the type of church our dream church should be
*It is a place where people come together and fall in love with one another
*Methodist church- nobody is above all
*He doesn't confine the truth

3. Our dream church is a "healthy" church
-filled with young and old
-well attended

Hebrews 10:25 says, "Let us not give up meeting, as some are in the habit of doing."
*Some people claim to belong to a church but rarely spend any time going there (we need to activate the in-active members)
*Where in the world are you going to know more about God or encourage people other than church
*our dream church is a church where believers gather to worship Jesus Christ

Conclusion
*Today, I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed
*I won't give up, shut up or let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up and preached up all of the sweet cause of my Jesus
*urge us to make that decision too
*be sold out, be on fire, and be forever active in his kingdom and in his church
*uphold the church in prayer to be spirit-led, relational, healthy church
*Today, many people tend to leave sermons in a happy note
*in obedience in God, he will transform us.

**Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path**
