Fairy Tale Romance

*Ephesians 5:22-33: Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

*Submit to others, love in business and marriage
*Submit isn't even in the greek translation
*We as Christians know how is it to be loved by Jesus
true intimacy= same heart to your husband as you would have to Jesus
*We should have the same faith and trust to our husbands/wives as we have towards Jesus
*It is the same message as the message that Jesus had sacrificed himself for us, that is what we should do for our partners as well
*Paul is talking about sacrifical love
*If the relationship does not cost you anything in the sense of money, time or effort, it is not sacrifical love
*It is not because God wants us to suffer but to show us the beautiful thing that we can do unto others
*He is explaining God's love in a marriage context
*He is calling us to give our all to him

The differences between rights and responsibility
*To have a responsibility to love our partners or the right to expect what our partner does for us?
*Definitely to have a responsibility to love our partners
*We might be attracted but not love or vice versa but we should have both for our partner if we want to spend the rest of our lives with as well as to have a healthy relationship

*We want a princes worth dying for
*OR a knight that we can entrust our life to
*as well as a princess that believes in Him
*AND a knight that treasures her

*God wants us to have a passionate relationship
*Would YOU entrust in the man you want to be with just as we believe in jesus and give sacrificially for something enduring and beautiful?
*It is a mystery that Jesus loves the church that He sacrificed his life for our sins- It is the most important event, not that we need to be rescued but that He loves us so much
*We get to be with Him shame and guilt free if we entrust ourselves to Him

**Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path**
